Meghan and Storm
How did you meet?
Storm and I met through a group of friends. At the time we were both in other relationships. Over the next couple of years, It seemed as if we were always running into one another at the most random places. Several years passed, and then out of the blue when we were both once again single people, Storm reached out to me. The rest is history!
How did you know he was “The One?”
Everything fell into place. Being with Storm felt easy and comfortable and made me feel like I belonged!
How did he propose?
It was Christmas Day 2021, and Storm and I had gone to dinner together. I suspected he was going to propose, but when he didn’t, I remember trying hard not to be disappointed. Once we were back at my mom’s, he got down on one knee in front of the Christmas tree and popped the question!
Tell us about your wedding planning.
Storm and I did most of our wedding planning with the help of family. We found our wonderful vendors through New Braunfels Wedding Guide which made everything so simple!
What was the best decision you made?
One of the best decisions of our entire wedding was our band. My dad heard Gary Glenn & the 20X Band play at the San Antonio Rodeo and was sold. I let my dad take the lead with finding their availability, and in record time he had them booked! Gary and the band were such good sports. They accommodated our every whim. With him as our MC for the night, the evening flowed seamlessly. It was the BEST DECISION ever! They were AMAZING!
Where did you find your dress?
My dress came from Celebrations Bridal and Prom in New Braunfels, Texas. I knew I wanted a satin mermaid style, and after trying on a handful of dresses, I found the one! It fit like a dream, and the minute I put it on, I just knew it was the one!
Tell us about your flowers.
My grandmother who once ran her own florist shop offered to do our flowers. She did the bridal and bridesmaid bouquets and the groomsmen’s boutonnieres.
What did you serve?
We had creamy poblano chicken breast with veggies and roasted potatoes. From our tasting to our actual wedding reception, Catering by Norris treated us with such care. They offered impeccable service and food. We could not have been more pleased with our catering choice.
What made you laugh?
Looking back Storm and I agree that one of the funniest things in the evening was when our bridal party played musical chairs. They took winning very seriously and all fought hard for the win!
What made you cry?
What made me cry was my Dad’s speech. I knew it was going to be emotional for us both, and it was! I love you, Dad!
What is the best advice you can give a bride?
Everyone says to hire a day of coordinator, and they are absolutely right! Having someone on hand to see that the day runs smoothly was priceless!
