Sending Our Love is a tribute to our wartime heroes who left their girlfriends, fiancées, or wives at home to fight from the skies, on land, or sea during War World II.
Hideout on the Horseshoe was the perfect venue for this styled shoot which was inspired by all the ways a bride might send her love during the 40’s when our country was at war.
Telegrams, letters, postcards and flowers are several of the ways our bride and groom share their love with you.
Makeup by Andrea did such a wonderful job giving our beautiful bride just the right 40’s wartime hair and makeup.
If you look closely, you will see our favorite thing about this dress from Fiancee Bridal Boutique in Boerne, Texas. The small Swiss polka dots on the soft tulle overlaying the skirt give such an alluring and romantic vibe. The A-line gown features illusion shoulder straps and a V neckline. The delicate floral appliques have a subtle sparkle that catches the eye. Romance is in the air in this classic gown!
Bev at Jupiterhill Creative Design created our beautiful invitation suite! Her designs are always perfectly suited to the occasion.
The gorgeous centerpieces and our bride’s bouquet were created by Trisha with Field to Vase. Her arrangements are the result of the perfect flower choices in the hands of an artist!
Cat Haus Rentals arrived at the venue in three vehicles and a U-Haul trailer! Brooke, the owner, warned us she would bring everything needed and then some, and she did! Her table settings and other nostalgic decor brought an authentic flair.
River City Catering designed the perfect menu for our event. Delectable hors d’oeuvres, open-faced tea sandwiches and deviled eggs with bacon, were served. A scrumptious meatloaf, au gratin potatoes, and haricots verts did not disappoint as the main course.
The wedding cake was by Monica at Sue C Cakes. It couldn’t have been more perfect! Her creation depicting the traditional wartime wedding cake was remarkable.
The cookies on our dessert table are by Liz with Bless my Tart, CO. Sending Our Love postage, telegram and package design cookies brought to mind days gone by!
A photo booth was an absolute necessity. Homestead Photo Booth fit the bill! Their creative design added to the ambiance.
Our bar service was provided by Southern Tapsters. Jerry served Moxie Sidecars and The American 75. The champagne fountain was a hit with the guests. Cheers!
Before shoving off, music was provided by Brentley on the trumpet with McKenna providing vocals to Moonlight Serenade, a popular song of the times.
Cat Haus Rentals supplied this beautiful 1956 Chevy for our couple’s exit.
We would like to dedicate our work on this styled shoot in memory of our bride’s father, Detmer Rex Knapp, a USA veteran. 1944-2020
Bonnie with B Turner Photography is a step above! She and her husband, Brad, worked in concert as our photographer and videographer. After calling the day a wrap, Bonnie shared her delight with the day’s activities, and it definitely shows in the photos.
