About IMPRESSIONIST Texas Wedding Painting
Capture the magic of your wedding day on canvas with IMPRESSIONIST Texas Wedding Painting, a live event artist collective led by Laura Herndon. Based near San Antonio and serving couples across Texas, this talented team creates beautiful, personalized wedding artwork that becomes a cherished heirloom long after the celebration ends.
Laura has been painting Texas weddings since 2018 and specializes in live wedding painting using acrylic and oil paints. Inspired by the French Impressionists, her style focuses on emotion, movement, atmosphere, and the sweet moments shared between a bride and groom. During your wedding, an artist arrives early to set up, gather reference photos, and begin painting as the day unfolds. Guests love watching the piece come to life in real time, making it both a memorable experience and a one-of-a-kind keepsake.
Couples can choose from a variety of live painting packages, from intimate bride-and-groom portraits to grand wedding scenes filled with florals, chandeliers, family members, dance floors, venue details, and more. Smaller canvases are perfect for a detailed couple portrait, while larger canvas options allow room for the full beauty of your Hill Country celebration to be captured.
In addition to live wedding painting, the team offers thoughtful artistic add-ons including live guest illustrations, engagement portraits, bouquet paintings, commemorative portraits, pet portraits, cocktail paintings, venue paintings, and bridal party portraits. These custom pieces make beautiful wedding decor, meaningful gifts, and lasting reminders of the people, places, and details that made your day unforgettable.
From your first consultation to the final studio touches, IMPRESSIONIST Texas Wedding Painting walks with you through a thoughtful creative process. Your artist will review your timeline, layout, decor, colors, and must-have moments before the wedding, then refine the painting after the event so it is ready to display and treasure for years to come.
Reviews Of IMPRESSIONIST Texas Wedding Painting
I used Natalie several years ago for my live wedding painting and was blown away by her artistic ability. She’s very professional and can help you with any dreams you have for your painting. (She added my furry companion to the picture for me since she knew how much he meant to me.) My wedding guests loved watching the painting come to life before our wedding started and during our reception... I now have my wedding painting above on my fireplace mantle still get compliments on it every time I have a guest over. It’s one of my most cherished pieces from my wedding. I highly recommend Natalie if you’re wanting a unique take away from your wedding!

Natalie continues to amaze me with her talent. She live painted at our wedding ceremony in New Braunfels a few years ago. Our guests enjoyed watching her painting come to life throughout our reception. It is my most cherished possession and will forever be proudly displayed for all to see. I highly recommend her for your next live event or if you have a wedding photo she can paint it for you. Perfect anniversary gift. She has the most creative mind of anyone I’ve ever met - just tell her something you have in mind and she will blow you away with her final product!

FAQ'S
How does live wedding painting work?
Your artist arrives before the celebration begins to set up, take reference photos, and start building the painting. They paint live throughout the wedding so guests can enjoy watching the artwork come to life, then complete final touch-ups in the studio after the event.
When should we book our live wedding painter?
Booking early is highly recommended, ideally 6 to 12 months before your wedding. Spring and fall are especially popular wedding seasons in Texas, so reserving your date early gives you the best chance of securing your preferred artist.
What can be included in the painting?
Your painting can focus on the bride and groom or feature a larger wedding scene with details like family members, florals, chandeliers, the dance floor, venue architecture, or the surrounding landscape. The best package depends on the canvas size and the amount of detail you want included.
Do you offer more than live wedding painting?
Yes. In addition to live wedding painting, the team offers live guest illustrations, engagement portraits, bouquet paintings, commemorative portraits, cocktail paintings, pet portraits, venue paintings, bridal party portraits, and after-the-wedding painting commissions.
How long does it take to receive the finished painting?
The painting will look complete by the end of the event, but your artist will take it back to the studio for finishing details, portrait refinement, color work, and curing time. Finished paintings are typically available for pickup or shipping about 6 to 12 weeks after the wedding.
Can a painting be commissioned after the wedding?
Yes. If your wedding day has already passed, you can still commission a custom painting using professional wedding photos. This is a beautiful way to preserve a favorite moment or give the couple a meaningful heirloom gift.
What is needed to reserve a wedding date?
A signed contract and a $500 non-refundable deposit are required to reserve live wedding painting services. In-studio custom commissions require a 50% deposit.
